Russell A. Green

Russell A. Green is a graduate of the University of Connecticut cum laude, class of 1989. He earned his law degree in 1994 from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Mr. Green’s diverse practice includes all aspects of personal injury litigation, including medical malpractice. Mr. Green has tried several negligence actions to jury verdict.

Prior to joining Hurwitz, Sagarin, Slossberg and Knuff, Mr. Green worked for a large defense-oriented firm where he defended medical malpractice cases for a wide range of medical providers, including hospitals, doctors, nurses, and medical technicians. He has experience with misdiagnosis, surgical errors, infectious diseases, birth trauma and complicated procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and joint replacement. Mr. Green’s experience also includes sexual trauma and psychiatric care.

Mr. Green is admitted to the bars of Connecticut and New York, and to the Federal District Court for the District of Connecticut. Mr. Green is active in a number of municipal and charitable organizations, is the Vice-Chairman of the Fairfield Planning and Zoning Commission, is a justice of the peace, and a hearing officer for the Town of Fairfield. He is on the Board of Directors for Fairfield Counseling Services, an organization which provides a wide range of mental health services to the community. Mr. Green is an active member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association (including the Membership Committee), the Connecticut Bar Association and local bar associations (Bridgeport and Milford). He has presented seminars to lawyers and paralegals on a number of topics relating to litigation.
